Senior Business Partner - Financial Communications

The mission of the Senior Business Partner is to provide senior financial leadership regarding all aspects of financial communications when communicating with internal and external audiences. This role will work closely with the senior leadership team and also with potential external investors. The ability to develop relationships with key investment banks both in the UK and the US is critical and understanding the landscape of potential investors. Also, the ability to have worked in a fast-paced environment, particularly in media or technology would be highly beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to drafting of internal reports and analysis, including key financial reports circulated to the wider leadership team.

  • Work closely with the COO and CFO to deliver insightful and robust presentations both to an internal and external audience and to clearly explain the value drivers of the company.

  • Plan and execute a comprehensive Investor Relations programme to build a strong investor-base, including roadshows, site visits, seminars and other events.

  • Develop well-designed materials, including statements, slides ,speaker notes and other investor presentations.

  • Participate actively in potential investor meetings and roadshows globally and respond to potential investor queries.

  • Lead one on one interactions with prospective investors and analysts including investor conferences, filtering ad hoc investor meetings and deciding should take follow on meetings (e.g. CEO, CFO).

  • Prepare high quality supporting material and investor presentations for these meetings. Brief senior management before such meetings.

  • Maintain a strong working relationship with advisors including, but not limited to corporate brokers and other key advisors.

  • Keep abreast of major issues and industry dynamics affecting the company to inform plans and communications.

  • Monitor peer group activity and industry best practice; contribute new ideas to the enhancement of the financial communications strategy.

Candidate Profile:

  • In-house Investor Relations experience with a minimum of 10 years’ experience ideally in a hyper-growth environment.

  • Strong communications skills both written and oral. A good storyteller, professional and diplomatic and must be fluent in English & Russian.

  • Experience in the technology / media sector is highly desirable.

  • Strong analytical and financial skills. Ability to interpret internal financial models and forecasts. Good understanding of valuation and ability to discuss financial models with equity analysts.

  • The ability to influence and build strong relationships internally and externally (particularly with investment banks).

  • Highly diligent with strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.

  • Ability to generate and manipulate data for the use in presentation material.

  • Strong organisational skills, able to manage own workload and deliver high quality work under pressure of tight deadlines.

  • Demonstrated ability to be a results-orientated team player.

  • Excellent IT Skills (particularly Excel and Word).
